No Shabbat or holiday is complete without challah. The name of this traditional Jewish bread comes from one of the commandments of the Torah. According to it, when preparing dough, Jews would each time pinch off a small piece and burn it as an offering to God. It was this piece that was originally called challah. The elegant challah cover “Lion” is made of high-quality denim fabric with hand-painted art. Art depicts a lion formed from Hebrew letters, symbolizing strength, courage, and inner nobility.
