The Tower of David is the citadel beside the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. Despite the name, the fortress standing today was built long after King David. Its lower courses go back to the Hasmonean period, and later rulers rebuilt it many times over. The citadel now houses a museum of the city's history.
The painting belongs to the Modern Paintings collection from David Roytman Luxury Judaica, which renders Jewish landmarks as contemporary artwork rather than as architectural record.
