Nahalat Yaakov is the synagogue of the Russian-speaking Jewish community in Jerusalem. Its name means the inheritance of Yaakov. A community synagogue is where daily and Shabbat prayer take place and where the Torah is read aloud, and it is where a congregation that shares a language and a background keeps its own customs.
The painting belongs to the Modern Paintings collection from David Roytman Luxury Judaica, which renders Jewish landmarks as contemporary artwork rather than as architectural record.
Each canvas is hand-finished by the brand's artists, so no two are identical.
